Two happy news for me today.

FIRST ONE: This is the last week for the first semester, means semester break starting soon. After teaching for 14 weeks, finally can have some good rest. Even though teaching is my interest, but handling and communicating with student sometimes is indeed a tiring process :P Students's needs to be understood all the while. But the happy thing is that this semester student is more hardworking and attentive. They are not as "dreaming" as my last 2 batches of students!

SECOND ONE: Tomorrow is state public holiday and surprisingly our college recognize this sudden holiday too! Thanks to Dr. Wan Azizah's resignation as MP and causing Permatang Pauh by election(she resigned and Anwar will re-contest and thus having a by election)! I can have a relaxing day at home tomorrow enjoying my TV shows and my peaceful home life! Start to plan what to do tomorrow... ^___________^

WAll - E~ ~

WAll - E

Just watched a very touching story last Saturday, Wall-E. It is the story of a robot's whose name Wall-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) adventures as he chases his love, EVE to galaxy..

Wall-E is a cute robot even though he is created meant to collect the garbage on the earth. He twiddles his thumbs and records "Hello Dolly!" on a cranky old TV. He fiddles with old Zippo lighters and discoloured Rubic's Cubes. He even chases a cute cockroach around and feed it with biscuits. But there is nobody on the earth as human already abondoned the earth and escaped to space to live due to high toxic on earth that don't allow them to stay on anymore. Such a lonely robot!

But one day he met with another robot, EVE which was sent by human from space to detect the plant life in order to determine if the Earth is capable of supporting human life. She is equipped with scanners and a retractable plasma cannon in her right arm, the latter of which she is quick to use (or at least brandish) at the slightest provocation. Although initially EVE appears to be an unfeeling, stoic robot, taking her job a bit too seriously (and sometimes seems to be quite violence too ;p), but upon meeting WALL-E she soon begins to show signs of light-heartedness, even if his antics annoy her from time to time, and eventually learns to put others before her duties.

Once EVE's mission fulfilled, she stores the plant inside herself and deactivates. WALL-E goes to great lengths to protect her motionless body until she is retrieved by the ship that delivered her. to chase his love, he races after the ship, clinging to the outer hull as it departs into the depths of space, eventually arriving onboard the Axiom, the place which he get back his true love and having some great adventure on there. Eventually, because of him, human manage to get back to earth!

On the AXIOM spaceship, there is small little robot, M-O (Microbe Obliterator), one of the maintenance robots who cleans the filth in the ship and inspects incoming shipments for foreign contaminants. He is small and cute holding a small little cleaning tool. He always get annoyed by the amount of filth on WALL-E, and learns to act on his own accord by following WALL-E in an attempt to clean him. Because of him, the movie is even more lively and full of laguhters!

The movie is very beautiful, energetic, intelligent, satirical, crammed full of gorgeous design, and genuinely heartwarming. One of the nicest Pixar production movie that i have ever watched. Not only the love story, the movie also convey a message to everybody to preserve the earth better. I guess, our earth is getting sick lately huh? Global warming is seems like getting worsen. Is it we human have to escape to space to stay too someday?

The most awaiting moment started when the olympic opening ceremony officially launched on 08.08.2008 at accurate time of Beijing 8.08pm. I always very love to watch Olympic opening ceremony as through the ceremony we can always understand a country's culture in a better way. Their colorful dressing, their beautiful dances and performance always makes me feel like flying over the spot there to celebrate together that magic moment!

Among all the Beijing Olympic mascots, I love Huan Huan the mosT! PArt of the reason is maybe he is in red color ( I very love red color) but at the same time he gives me a sense of inspiration and happiness when looking at home. In our Chinese culture, red color always is bringing the meaning of "GOOD FORTUNE". Thus, hopefully by looking at Huan Huan our Malaysia athlete can be more motivated and gain more gold medals for our country!

Heard many views from different countries that this year's Beijing Olympic performance is the best among all others.. I guess this is the honours for those volunteers and China government who already put in the hard effort for such a long time! Excellent to all those people who already make this event a success, I give you all my deepest respect! Hopefully one day Malaysia will able to achieve and gain such honour too! =)
