A Garden of Hope, Joy and Love~

Thinking back when I was some year during secondary school… Hope to dedicate this blog to my students or those teenagers’ readers perhaps? Let us share all the joys of beautiful life together…

Growing up is all about the learning. It has never been said to be easy, never declared a bed of roses. In fact, we have not truly blossomed into mature and deep thinking adults without experiencing a certain degree of hardship and struggle. We grow through experience and through experience we gain hope, self confidence, and most significantly – strength to go on the living.

At one stage of my life (some time during my secondary moments), I woke up from my slumber every morning dejected and dispirited. I would gaze at the shriveled and wilting plant mourning at my windowsill and lament.

“Another day, another disappointment, another failure…”

So pessimistic huh?! At one point, I found no joy in my life. I felt akin to an insignificant flake in a blizzard of success and confidence. I thought I was alone in this unpredictable world with no one who could understand how I felt. I blame everybody around me. In my blindness, I allowed myself extremely distorted anger and hurt to surface, encasing my heart in bitter, cold ice.

Life is a garden of hope, joy and love.

If we delve deeply into our hearts, we will ascertain that we process such an infinite capacity to love, to touch the lives of others and to make a difference in the world. Many among us conclude that we are powerless against the invisible forces in this world, as we are just tiny flocks of colors in a canvas of adversity. Yes, I have to concede that we may not able to change the world to what we envisage but we can make it a better place to live in.

As Mother Theresa once quoted,

“We are each a drop of water in an ocean of need, but a drop of water that would be missed if it were not there.”
